I was born in Bogotá, Colombia and moved to Miami, Florida at a young age. I graduated with a B.A. in political science from Northwestern University and spent some time working in Washington, D.C. before moving to New York City to start at Columbia.
In my spare time I enjoy books and movies. Puzzles also keep me entertained: see blog or click here to be on my NYT Mini Crossword leaderboard.
To stay active I love to hike and boulder. A few of my favorite hikes include the John Muir Trail in California (2018), the W trek in the Patagonia (2019), and Three Sisters in Oregon (2020).
I also love to play and watch (and read about and analyze) football (soccer): my Argentine father made me a die hard fan of the Albiceleste. On December 18, 2022, a dream of mine came true: I watched Argentina become world champions with my family.
I live in Brooklyn with my partner Sarah, who is a brilliant creative strategist and copywriter. We recently adopted a dog, Ollie, from Hearts and Bones Rescue, though we also occasionally take care of Coco, my parents' Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.
